Stunning beauty bracelets of Aman Mukazhanov’s work, you can see in the Kasteev art museum. On a wide silver "canvas" of his bracelets you can find pictures with rich details of national characters and scenes. Bracelets are his favorite form of jewelry.
First, large areas allow using different techniques at the same time and giving space for the realization of the complex artistic design; and secondly nomad’s ancestors loved and revered these jewels for their magical powers; bracelets-charms and bracelets-amulets were passed and are passing from generation to generation. Aman spent many hours studying the history of traditional Kazakh jewels, considering it as a necessary condition for achieving excellence and creating his own recognizable style. And he was able to develop his own jewelry style. How many people can boast of that?
Today Aman Mukazhanov’s jewels have their fans and connoisseurs. Fund UNESCO praised originality of artistic images and the quality of their implementation in the works of Kazakhstan jeweler, awarding him three times with International "Award of Excellence". In Astana, he was awarded by the "Highest quality mark" at the first contest of Kazakhstan "Sheber". He had other awards, but Aman considers all of this only as a reason for creative research. He wants to find a new combination of the rich traditions and modern innovations; that’s what keeps him awake at night.
He generally likes to work at night, when no one and nothing distracts him from work. Every night he does sketches, works through all details for future jewels. He admits that sometimes cannot wait to see the mentally finished plan in reality; in such cases, metals: silver, gold, copper or brass are amenable and pliable in his hands, like butter. Stones: amethyst, turquoise, carnelian become emotional heart of product. Perhaps, this is what called an inspiration, which can feel those who takes jewelry of Amana Mukazhanov in hands, tries his bracelets, rings or pendants, and wears them with pride and joy.
Every piece of his unique handmade work has a soul; but to breathe it in every new product, artist-jeweler has to wake up at night today and then again tomorrow to make metal and stone alive.
