Young scientists are the future of Kazakhstan

Adilsultan Lepes from Kazakhstan, took a fourth place in the competition of scientific achievements among students Intel ISEF. 65th World Competition Intel ISEF was held in Los Angeles from 11th to 16th May 2014.

In this year, more than 1,700 young scientists, future entrepreneurs and inventors from around the world participated in this international competition. Contestants were selected within 435 regional competitions that were held in more than 70 countries and regions.

Our country was represented by students - Nurila Kambar, Asset Zhanabaev and Adilsultan Lepes and supervisors in physics and mathematics - Yernur Rysmagambetov, Master of Engineering Sciences, Ibrahim Ibatulin, math teacher of O. Zhautykov’s Republican Specialized Physics and Mathematics secondary boarding school.

The prize fund in 2014 exceeded $ 5 million. Major prizes were provided by Intel Corporation and Intel Foundation. The founders of the special prizes and awards were dozens of companies, nonprofit organizations, educational institutions and government agencies working in scientific fields.

 With the project "Alternative proof of 100 inequalities: the method of separation of tangent" Adilsultan Lepes took the fourth place in the Intel ISEF in the section "Mathematics". Adilsultan is studying in 11th grade in O. Zhautykov’s Republican Specialized Physics and Mathematics secondary boarding school (Almaty).

In addition to the winners, more than 500 finalists received awards and prizes for their research. These awards included 17 awards for the best work presented in a separate field.

Each winner received 5000$. Intel Foundation also gave 1000$ to each school, where winners are studying and to the national competitions they participated. In addition, the Intel Foundation presented special awards to individual participants, including 11-day trip to China. During this trip, the young scientists will be able to visit the country's largest research complex, talk with researchers from Intel Labs in Shanghai and visit the research base Panda Research Base in Chengdu.
